Resident Advocacy Program

At Edgewood resident safety is our top priority. We have zero tolerance for any form of abuse; however, we understand the potential may exist and to be proactive every Edgewood community has a Resident Advocacy Program.

The goal of this program is to ensure our residents are free from verbal, sexual, physical, emotional/mental abuse, neglect, self-abuse/self-neglect, medical neglect, misappropriation of resident property, corporal punishment and involuntary seclusion at all times.

The role of the Resident Advocate is to provide internal and external education about abuse prevention to staff, residents and families; support residents in cases of actual or suspected abuse and connect residents with appropriate support systems. Edgewood is proud to be an industry leader by offering this proactive program which is readily available to our staff, residents and family members.
