Phil Gisi, CEO/Chairman of the Board,
was raised on a farm near New Rockford, ND and is a 1982 graduate of the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Major in Accounting. Phil first served as the CFO for an oil field service and construction company, then spent 10 years working for St. Joseph's/UniMed Medical Center in Minot, ND, where he was the Vice President/CFO and later President/CEO. Gisi is currently the majority owner and CEO of the Edgewood Group of Companies, and the President/CEO of Edgewood Real Estate Investment Trust, a company specializing in the ownership of senior housing facilities under the REIT ownership structure. He is also the Chair/CEO of SBG Energy Services LLC, a North Dakota-based oil field services company. Gisi serves as a board director of Tulsa, OK-based Cypress Energy Partners LP (NYSE:“CELP”), a community board member and Secretary of Altru Health Systems of Grand Forks, a board member of the University of North Dakota Alumni Association Foundation, and a member of the Alumni Advisory Council of UND’s School of Business and Public Administration. Russell G. Kubik, President,
oversees operations at the executive level for Edgewood Management Group and Edgewood Development Group. This includes oversight of operations of the company's senior living communities, as well as leading the development and acquisition of new senior living communities. Prior to joining Edgewood, Russell served as the President of Regal Senior Living, Inc., a healthcare consulting business which provides growth strategies and consultation to upgrade programming or develop ancillary programs in assisted living communities. Originally from Dickinson, ND, Russell earned his undergraduate degree in Sociology and attended graduate school for Sociology/Research at the University of North Dakota. With his strong passion for providing the highest quality care for seniors, Russell began his career as the administrator of Mandan Villa, a 120-skilled-bed nursing facility located in Mandan, N.D. His past roles also include Regional Director of Operations with Beverly Enterprises, overseeing 13 skilled nursing facilities in Washington and Idaho; Regional Director of Operations for Sunrise Healthcare Corporation, overseeing 10 skilled nursing facilities in the Puget Sound region; Vice President of Operations for Emeritus Assisted Living, including general operations, development and growth of 62 senior living communities in 15 states; and Divisional Vice President for Life Care Centers of America, consisting of 32 skilled nursing facilities in Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

Rex Carlson, Executive Vice President / Chief Financial Officer,
is responsible for the organization' s financial strategy and execution. A former tax partner with Eide Bailly, LLP and personal advisor to the shareholders of R.D. Offutt Company, he has spent much of his career advising high-wealth individuals and mid-sized businesses on all aspects of finance, tax, business development and operations. A native North Dakotan, Rex holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Business Taxation degree from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. He is a certified public accountant and holds licenses in North Dakota and Minnesota (Inactive). He is a member and past president (2003-2004) of the Fargo Rotary. He has broad experience serving on various nonprofit boards and, among numerous others, currently serves as VP-Administration for the Northern Lights Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Robert J. Ford, Jr., B.S., M.B.A, Executive Vice President of Central Division (Regions I, II, III and VI),
oversees operations at the executive level for Edgewood Management Group. This includes oversight of operations for Edgewood's Regional Vice Presidents, Directors and the company's senior living communities. Robert most recently served as Regional Vice President of Region 1, from 2014 to 2016, directly overseeing operations in East Grand Forks and Stephen, MN; Fargo and Minot, ND; as well as all 11 communities in South Dakota. Prior to becoming Regional Vice President, Robert served as the Executive Director of Edgewood Meadow Wind in Casper, WY from 2009 to 2014. He was previously the Sales and Marketing Director for a 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility. Robert received his Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration from Montana State University Billings, and received a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Mary. Michael Sharp, Executive Vice President of Western Division (Region IV and V),
directly oversees operations in Idaho and Wyoming. Michael has over 20 years of experience in senior health care finance and management. He began his career in accounting and finance with skilled nursing facilities in Idaho. He then served as an Administrator for a 120 bed nursing facility in Boise for three years. He spent the next 12 years in multi-facility management as Director of Operations for Kindred Healthcare; Regional Vice President for Life Care Centers of America; Chief Operating Officer for Regal Senior Living, providing management and finance consulting for Assisted Living Facilities; and Division Director of Operations Support for Sunbridge Healthcare. He also served on the Idaho Health Care Association Board for 10 years and was President for two years. He is from Meridian, ID and received a Bachelor's degree in Business, Major in Accounting from the University of Idaho.

Wayne M. Zink, Executive Vice President / Director of Finance & Business Development,
leads Edgewood’s development company on turn-key development solutions for its new developments, including senior housing, multi-family housing and other projects. Wayne earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance from North Dakota State University, Fargo. His career path has spanned 26 years in the banking profession, with a focus in Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, and Development Financing. Prior to joining Edgewood Group, LLC in 2014, Wayne served as Market President of Choice Financial in Grand Forks, ND. At Edgewood, he develops more projects for Edgewood Real Estate Investment Trust and our other associated investment groups. Alan Silletto, Vice President/Chief Data Officer,
joined Edgewood in 1999 as an Accounting Clerk while attending the University of North Dakota. After completing his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration for Financial Management in 2004, he began working full time for Edgewood. Since then, he has held positions in technology, financial analysis and budgeting, and construction cost accounting for Edgewood Management Group and Edgewood Development Group.

Ron Whetter, Vice President of Finance & Budget,
brought over 22 years of healthcare finance experience to EMG when he joined the company in 2003 as the Finance and Budget Director. Prior to this, he served as a Healthcare Consultant for a large regional healthcare accounting firm. Ron holds his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Dakota. EMG's Accounting and Finance Department is responsible for all accounts payable and receivable; tax filing; payroll management; financial statement generation; budget preparation and oversight; risk mitigation; cost management; national purchasing; contract management; budgeting and cash management.

Michael Johnson, RN, Vice President of Clinical Services for Central Division,
sets the direction for resident services in Edgewood's communities in region I, II, III and IV and is responsible for quality improvement, risk management and licensing functions for the company. He has also served as the Regional II Vice President/COO for the company, and prior to that he served as the Director of Nursing for Edgewood Vista in Brainerd. Michael, who is also a Registered Nurse, has 20 years of experience in critical care and medical/surgical nursing in an acute care setting. He also volunteers for an international aid organization providing surgical services to people in Guatemala.

Chuck Bosen, RN, Vice President of Clinical Services for Western Division,
graduated in 1994 from nursing school at Idaho State University with a Bachelors of Science degree. He began his nursing career in acute care, but quickly transitioned into long term care. Chuck has held a number of leadership positions in skilled nursing including director of nursing and director of clinical operations ; working in facilities located in Idaho, Nevada, Nebraska and Montana. Additionally, Chuck gained valuable operations experience as Vice President of Operations, overseeing a group of skilled nursing facilities and gero-psych hospital in Idaho. He resides just outside of Boise, ID with his wife and three children.

Rich Ostert, Regional Vice President - Region I,
directly oversees operations in South Dakota. Most recently, Rich served as the Executive Director of Edgewood Vista in Spearfish, where he managed operations for 8 years. Rich grew up in Deadwood, SD and joined the Navy in 1982. After serving in the Navy for over 21 years, he retired in 2003. While in the Navy, his duties consisted of working as a Hospital Corpsman, Pharmacy Technician, Emergency Medical Technician and Acting Chief of the Naval Medical Clinic in London, England. Rich finished his career in the Navy by overseeing the medical department of a Military Entrance Processing Station in Fargo, ND. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. Rich's first position outside of the Navy was as the Operations/Project/Marketing Manager for a 17-physician owned specialty medical clinic in Spearfish, SD. He is married to Cindy McGrath and they have four children. Rich’s hobbies include 8 and 9-ball pool and motorcycle riding.

Ross Huttunen, Regional Vice President - Region II,
directly oversees operations in Minnesota, including Alexandria, Blaine, Brainerd, Hermantown, and Virginia. Prior to this, Ross served as the Operations Executive for HealthEast Care System in St. Paul, MN, a position he held since 2000. Ross comes to Edgewood with over twenty years of operations, strategic planning and leadership experience in acute care hospitals, memory care and long-term care. He holds his Bachelor's degree in Biology from Moorhead State University, a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration from Kennedy-Western University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. Originally from Makinen, MN, Ross and his family now make their home in Ham Lake, MN.

Char Schmidt, RN, BSN, Regional Vice President - Region III,
directly oversees operations in Bismarck, Mandan, and Jamestown, ND and Montana. Char has over 25 years of experience in long term care. She has worked as a Nurse Manager, Health Facilities Administrator and an Administrator in Basic Care. Char joined the Edgewood team in 2007 and most recently served as Executive Director of Edgewood Bismarck – Village and as Senior Executive Director of the EMG Mandan/Bismarck communities. Char was an active volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association as it developed in North Dakota, has served on many local and state committees related to services for older adults and has been the North Dakota Assisted Living Networking Chairperson for the NDLTCA since 2009. David J. Lovato, Regional Vice President - Region IV,
directly oversees operations in Casper, Cheyenne and Laramie, WY as well as in Columbus, Fremont, Grand Island, Hastings, Norfolk and Omaha, NE. Prior to this, David served as the Executive Director for Aspen Wind Assisted Living, a position he held since 2004. David is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Since 2004, he has been a Support Group Facilitator for Alzheimer's Association. In addition David served as a Med Tech and Admin troop in the Wyoming Air National Guard for seven years and was involved in missions to provide humanitarian medical aid in Mocoron, Honduras and Chiclayo, Peru.

Marilyn Beutler, Regional Vice President - Region V,
is a licensed administrator with over 20 years of experience in senior health care management. She began her career as the marketing director of a newly built 70 unit assisted living community in Twin Falls, ID and within months was promoted as the Executive Director. During her 7 years there she had oversight for two other communities in the Boise area. Marilyn took a leap of faith and moved to Phoenix, AZ where she managed an 80 unit community that needed a lot of help! While her experience there was rewarding, her heart remained in Idaho. So after fours years when the opportunity came to move back to Idaho she moved to Meridian.Marilyn joined the Spring Creek team in 2011 as the Quality Assurance Coordinator, responsible in helping all the Idaho communities with state compliance regulations. She later took over management of the Meridian campus. As the Senior Executive Director she was an invaluable resource to the region. Marilyn has served on the Leveling Task Force, the Marketing A team, and was one of the first Preceptors in the EDIT program. When Marilyn is not with her Edgewood family she enjoys spending time with her husband,six married children, and 22 grandchildren.

Carol Wurdeman, RN, Regional Vice President - Region VI/ Quality Assurance Nurse,
received her license from Bryan School of Nursing in Lincoln, NE. Carol began her nursing career as a med surgical nurse at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, NE in 1991. Shortly after starting at Bryan, she started her career in Long Term Nursing and has done a variety of management positions in long term care. She joined Edgewood Vista in 2008 as the Executive Director of the Columbus, Nebraska location and joined the Quality Assurance team in the spring of 2011 as a QA nurse. Carol is currently the QA Nurse for Nebraska and Wyoming. EMG's Quality Assurance Department is responsible for implementing policies, procedures, practices and service standards; performing reviews and quality services checks; maintaining regulatory compliance on state, local and federal levels; training and retaining quality nursing staff; developing and maintaining accurate service level assessment processes; conducting family and resident Satisfaction Surveys and serving as a liaison between licensing agencies and local facility management.

Sylvia O'Neal, Regional Vice President of Special Projects,
oversees and supervises the implementation and upgrading of a variety of EMG focus programs/initiatives: Utilization Review; Life Enrichment programming; Executive Director in Training program; memory care training materials and programming; and customer service training materials. Sylvia earned her undergraduate degree from William Carey College and Master of Science degree in community counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi. Sylvia has more than 35 years of experience in various administrative positions in the fields of mental health, pastoral care and social services, in both hospital and community settings. Sylvia has also served as the Administrator of Edgewood Vista in Kalispell, Operational Consultant and Regional Vice President for EMG.

Anne Borgen, RN, Quality Assurance Nurse,
received her Bachelor of Science nursing license from University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. Anne has worked in the Long Term Care setting for the last 18 years with positions as a certified nursing assistant, charge nurse, MDS Care Coordinator and Assistant Director of Nursing. Hollie was born and raised in Pennsylvania and moved to Grand Forks, ND in 2011. Prior to joining EMG she was the District Office Manager for a United States Congresswoman and also worked in sales/marketing for a premiere fitness and wellness center for over 5 years. is a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of nursing experience. She has experience in acute care, home health, hospice, and long term care prior to joining the Edgewood Vista team in 2009. Denise received an Associate degree in Nursing from Wahpeton State College and two years later a Bachelor in Nursing degree from Minot State University.Denise is responsible for implementing policies and procedures, setting up cares to meet resident's needs, hiring and training of CNA, CMA and nursing staff. Denise participates with developing programs to ensure quality assurance is met to; provide the highest level of care for the residents who reside at Edgewood Vista.

Tammy Corkill, RN, Quality Assurance Nurse,
received her nursing degree from the Casper College School of Nursing in Casper, WY. She started her nursing career as a Med Surgical Nurse and quickly transferred to the Surgical Unit for several years. Tammy spent a short time in the OR before starting at Meadow Wind in 2005. She started as a Floor Nurse and became the Clinical Services Director within a couple months. In 2008, Tammy wanted to broaden her experience in the nursing field and was the Director of Nursing at Central Wyoming Hospice for a year where she worked worked at an inpatient rehabilitation facility before returning to Meadow Wind in 2009. She has four children that she adores, one of which has chosen to follow in her footsteps in a nursing career.

Keith Jensen, Construction & Environmental Services Director,
has more than 20 years of experience in management. He has his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Management from the University of North Dakota. Prior to joining EMG, Keith served as Project Manager for EDG, overseeing regional residential property development. EMG's Environmental & Construction Management Department is responsible for facility physical plant equipment; systems maintenance; audits and safety reviews; preparing recommendation reports that drive capital budget planning; providing support to the purchasing function through negotiation; consulting for equipment and system repairs; consultation and recommendation on new construction and development projects.

Wyndle Kinney, IT System Analyst,
is responsible for monitoring and maintaining all of the server and network systems at Edgewood. Wyndle has a degree in Microcomputer and Network Technologies with an emphasis on Network Security. Prior to coming to Edgewood, Wyndle worked as an Information Technology Specialist for Northland Community and Technical College for five and a half years. He is also Security+ certified.

Ashley Magner, MA, Corporate Life Enrichment Director ,
is responsible for creating and overseeing life enrichment programs for Edgewood communities. Ashley has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Social Sciences from Mayville State University and a Master's Degree in Family Counseling and Human Services from Liberty University. Ashley has worked in long term skilled care, as well worked as a care consultant and educator for family and professional caregivers for people with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. She is also a Foundations of Dementia Care Master Trainer. Ashley resides in East Grand Forks with her husband and two sons.

Carma McLaughlin, Corporate Purchasing Director,
began employment as a Dining Service Manager in April 1998 with the First Edgewood Vista located in Minot, ND. During her first year of employment, Carma enrolled in Dietary Manager Courses through UND and received her CDM, CFPP. In 2000 she took on an additional roll of Housekeeping Manager within the community of Minot and played a major role in the standardization of products, maintaining budget and improving quality and satisfaction within the community. In 2011 Carma began assisting the Edgewood Management Group (EMG) Corporate Dining Services Director with community audits, to help improve and enhance the high standards of quality of care and nutrition in various Edgewood Communities. In 2012 she took another leadership role and added Maintenance Manager to her list of duties within the Minot community, as well as management of their coffee shop and 69 Village homes. In April 2013 Carma accepted the position as EMG’s Corporate Purchasing Director. Her responsibilities include managing contracts, proper product standardization and ensuring great working relationships with all Edgewood communities, as well as regional and local choice vendors.

Melanie Metz, RD, Corporate Director of Dining Services,
is a Licensed, Registered Dietitian with more than 20 years of experience in clinical nutrition services, consulting, public health, worksite wellness and food service management. Melanie has her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of North Dakota. EMG's Dining Services Department is responsible for developing dining services experience strategies; designing menus to meet residents' needs; nutritional analysis; food cost analysis; managing national purchasing and contracts; administering nutrition software and training facility dining service managers and staff members.

Jesse Noska, RN, Quality Assurance Nurse,
joined the Edgewood team in January 2016 with more than 19 years of dedication to Long Term Care including 7 years as the Director of Nursing at a skilled nursing facility. Being an active member and committee member of different MN aging associations allows Jesse to collaborate with different resources that focus on senior care. Along with assuring quality care and regulatory compliance, Jesse completes assessments with current and potential residents and provides them with information regarding the valuable services that Edgewood Senior Living offers. Jesse is very happy to be part of Edgewood Vista and is committed to providing and promoting services that ensure residents live with dignity, meaning and purpose. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, traveling and is a follower of mixed martial arts.

Shannon Obregon, Senior Controller,
oversees and supervises the accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll for Edgewood Management Group and its communities. Shannon has been with Edgewood since 2004 and received her degree in Accounting from Northland Community and Technical College of East Grand Forks. Prior to joining EMG she was the Business Office Manger and Store Manager for a local business.

Hatti Olson, Office Manager / Executive Assistant,
oversees and is responsible for Relias, which is the companywide online training program and has received Relias I & II level certifications. She also chairs the Education and Training Committee; schedules Alzheimer’s Association quarterly educational webinars; and runs the annual employee, resident and family member satisfaction survey process. Hatti joined the Edgewood team in 2010. Prior to this position, she was a Central Processing Supervisor for six and half years at Altru Health System, overseeing a staff of 30 people. David O'Toole, IT System Analyst,
is responsible for maintaining the current information systems, helping end users, ordering technology supplies and planning for the future growth of Edgewood. David has a two-year degree in Computer and Network Technology from Northland Community and Technical College of East Grand Forks, MN. He also worked as a Computer Technician and a Technology Specialist at Northland. David recently achieved his CompTia A+ certification for computer technician. His prior work history includes 11 years of experience as a Police Officer.

Steve Roth, SBG Energy Services LLC, Controller,
joined SBG Energy in April 2013 after relocating back to Grand Forks from Seattle, WA. Steve has more than 15 years of experience in accounting and finance. Prior to joining SBG, Steve was the Corporate Controller for a hydraulic tool company in the Seattle area. Steve is a CPA and has an accounting degree from the University of North Dakota. He resides in Grand Forks with his wife and daughter, Nora.

Tyra Saldana-McCrum, RN, BSN, Quality Assurance Nurse,
Received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Bemidji State University in Minnesota. Tyra has worked in long term care as a LPN/Resident Care Coordinator and as a RN/ Health and Wellness Director. Tyra has functioned as Executive Director in different long term care settings. She joined Edgewood Management Group in November of 2014 as the Quality Assurance Nurse for communities in Minnesota.
