Katie Nagle, Executive Director,
is responsible for the overall business operations and leading the team at Edgewood Senior Living in Pierre. Katie grew up on a dairy farm in southeast Minnesota, leaving to attend the College of St. Catherine, in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she graduated with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. Katie relocated to Pierre, SD, and has spent almost 20 years in the non-profit sector there; 16 of those years she served as the Director of the RSVP Volunteer Program. Katie joined Edgewood in September 2014. She enjoys spending time with family and likes doing outdoor activities.

Jeanne Mehlhaff, RN, Clinical Services Director,
received her nursing degree from the University of South Dakota. She has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare field including acute care, out-patient setting and long term care. She was previously a long term care nursing manager and a Transitional Care nurse manager for a 140 bed community. Jeanne has a deep passion for the elderly and is devoted in bringing quality care services to the residents as well as interacting with their families. Jeanne and her husband are South Dakota natives and recently relocated to Pierre from Mitchell. They have three grown children. Jeanne enjoys fishing, gardening, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Jeanne joined Edgewood in December 2014.

Kim Brakke, Marketing Director,
is responsible for
the sales, marketing and promotion of Edgewood Senior Living in Pierre. Kim moved to Pierre, SD in 2002 and is originally from Edina, MN. Kim received her
BA in Communication Studies from the University of Minnesota. Outside of Edgewood,
Kim is involved with Junior Achievement, Girl Scouts, PTA, and several other
volunteer committees. Kim is married to her best friend Matt. They
have three young daughters and a standard poodle named Oliver. When not at
work, Kim enjoys spending time with friends and family, house projects,
reading, playing cards and traveling.

Steve Bass, Admissions & Family Relations Director,
grew up in central North Dakota and graduated from Jamestown College (now the University of Jamestown) with a B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting. Steve and his family moved to Pierre in 1984. Steve has been a licensed life and health insurance agent since 1989 primarily working in the senior and health markets. Steve is married and has 3 adult children and 4 grand kids all of whom live in Pierre. Steve works with residents and families throughout the admissions process and beyond handling questions, suggestions and concerns of a non-clinical nature from residents, families and staff. Steve also handles Long Term Care insurance claims and questions as well as assisting residents with Medicare insurance issues.

Elizabeth Heath, Business Office Director,
was born in Pierre and raised in Fort Dodge, IA and Aberdeen, SD. Elizabeth attended Northern State University, majoring in Special Education, where she met Tim her husband of over 20 years. Together they have 5 children and 2 dogs and continue to be foster parents. In her spare time Elizabeth enjoys family activities, reading, crafts and is a hospice volunteer. Elizabeth was most recently employed at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre as the Scheduling Coordinator.

Chris Tousley, Dining Services Director,
was born and raised in Pierre, SD. Since a very early age, Chris has had a passion for cooking great tasting food. He has worked in the hospitality industry, mostly in restaurants, since he was fourteen years old. To further his knowledge, Chris attended Utah Valley University, where he earned a B.S. in Hospitality Management. Chris recently moved from Denver, CO back to his hometown of Pierre, SD and is very excited about being the Dining Services Director at Edgewood. He is also thrilled to be back in Pierre to enjoy all of the activities that the community has to offer. Chris is looks forward to the warmer weather, when he can enjoy the outdoors with his best pal, Finch, an Australian Shepard who loves to play catch with his Frisbee. In addition, Chris spends his free time camping, fishing and boating along the Missouri River.

Andrea Pulscher, Life Enrichment Director,
is responsible for planning and executing Life Enriching activities and outings at Edgewood Senior Living in Pierre. Andrea grew up in Clark, SD. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art with minors in English Writing and Religion from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. Previously, she was an Art Instructor for the City of Watertown and Cultural Arts Coordinator for the Watertown Boys and Girls Club. Currently, Andrea lives in Pierre, SD with her fiancée, Jesse and their dog, Inaru. She enjoys painting, printmaking, reading, independent films, Scrabble and fabric arts. Andrea works occasionally at the Rawlins Library and is involved with the Society for Creative Anachronisms.

Shane Mundt, Environmental Services Director,
was born and raised in Britton, SD where he attended high school until graduation in 1974. From there, Shane went on to the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND where he majored in Heating and Cooling Technology. After graduation, he was employed with his father’s business, Ted’s Trenching, Plumbing and Heating in Britton, SD. In 1982, Shane married his high school sweetheart, Nancy and they relocated to Pierre, SD. Shane was most recently employed at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, SD for the past 14 years as the Maintenance Technician. Shane and Nancy have one daughter, Kylie and two granddaughter, Lainey and Ellie.
